A King.

My favorite author is Stephen King (even thought I'm sure I've mencioned it in some other entry before this one).
He is from Portland, USA. and is such a famous writer.
The main themes of his books are terror and suspense.
The first book I read from him was Cujo, the story about a dog who gets the rabies and start killing people. The last victims he kills are Donna, a young and beautiful woman, and her little song Tad.
Then second book I read from him was Four past midnight, a book that compilated short terror tales.

And then, the book that became my favorite (the movie based in the book counts as one of my favorites too), The Shining. This book tells the story of Jack, a man who had problems with the alcohol. He decides to take a job as the winter caretaker on a famous hotel, the Overlook. He has a son, named Danny, who has clairvoyance, and he feels that something bad is going to happen in that hotel.
And so it does, the hotel posseses Jack and tries to make him kill his wife and his son, but in the end, he doesn't gets to do it, thanks to Danny's gift.

Why I like King:
I must admit that I am completely F A S C I N A T E D with the terror that King writes. Because the books not like any horror story, they are complicated, because they have a los of psychology.
Actually, everyone who tries to describe King, mentions that he is the King (as a royal title) of the psycho terror, because the enemy, the monster, the serial killer, the assasin... The fear, it always ends up coming from the mind of the own victim.
This fact captivates me, because is much more hard to get than the normal horror stories, and it can always have more than one solution, depending on the truth of every character in the book.
Also, I like King's books because they are so well maded that I don't need to see a picture, it's possible to get scared just by reading the book, and that's something not any author can make.

My song.

Until now, I never stopped to think what would be the song that describes my life. It is a hard question, though.
I've listened to a lot of music styles, like rap, metal, hardcore, punk and ska, so when I asked myself which song I'd choose to be the soundtrack of my life, I couldn't decide.
First I listened to all my favourite songs, tying to look for that one that made me remember the good and bad moments in my life. I tried so hard to find one, and it just didn't seem to appear, so I almost gave up...

...Until one day, out of nowhere, I start to play guitar hero on my nintendo wii. And there they were. It was not A song, but TWO!
Whenever I hear them, my mind starts to fly so far away, and I feel comfortable with the sound, I feel plenty, and happy, I smile, and I remember faces I've seen during my life.
And no matter how many times I hear those songs, I never get bored with them. They are perfect to me, is just as simple as that, because that's why we all look in a song, right?
That moment when you notice your mind is dreaming, with the song, the lyrics to it, the times between every note.

That moment when you forget about what surrounds you physically, and you focus only on your mind, and on your heart, because, yes, feelings are involved too.

By the way, this are my two songs:

Dream on, by Aerosmith

All the young dudes, by Mott the Hoople.

This book, you see...

I love books, I really do.
I think they are a way to run away from your troubles. They give you hope, faith, something to think about. They may make you laugh, or they may make you cry, they will tell you a story that will captivate your mind.
They are just like magic, because sometimes it happens that you just fall in love with a book for its cover (not in a metaphorycal way, you know) and when you read the story, your mind and your heart find a connection that makes you want to read more, as if you were one of the characters in the book.

Reading may easily turn a gray and cloudy day, into a nice day that's full of surprises, they can save from boredom, they can help you solve your problems, they can make you dream, they can give this feeling of peace that is so hard to find nowadays.

Because, sometimes, they're magic.
And any book you read, will leave something that you can apply on your life, like strenght, faith, happiness, optimism.
